one of the best death doom bands so far. great melodies with great atmospheres. mostly slow, heavy and doomy but sometimes there are these groovy double-bass drum moments wich are pretty fucking cool. if you like death doom and melodic atmospheric black metal, this is for you.

Atmospheric Doom / Death Metal from Australia. Proper Doom has the power to bring out your emotions & your sadness and forces you to process it so that you come out the other side feeling temporarily better. This is proper Doom Metal, at least for me, it does all those things... :) Love every song! Highly recommended!!!

This was truly a revelation. I was getting started with funeral doom, working on something with my headphones on... Then came Déluge... my jaw actually dropped, I stopped what I was doing and, wide-eyed, just listened to the track, baffled and amazed. After the album was over (I never do this), I went to lay down with my headphones to enjoy it over again. I rarely heard (and felt) this much power and emotion in an album. Until I find something better, this is my landmark for peak funeral doom.

Yes, similiar to Mournful Congregation but more staightforward. Heavy just about all the time. Much less fluff than MC. Better growls, too. The production lends the music a majestic feel. The only thing I don't like are the rare spoken word bits. If the next release has more of those I'll address them as Mopey Wanderer (... I mean it). You can trust Germans to put the fun in funeral doom.
